Soya Chunk Millet Khichdi

Ingredients
½ cup millets (foxtail/barnyard)
¼ cup soya chunks
¼ cup moong dal
1 small onion (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
2–2.5 cups water
½ cup mixed vegetables
1 tsp oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp turmeric
Salt to taste

Method

STEP 1
Soak soya chunks in hot water for 5 mins, squeeze and chop.
STEP 2
Wash millets and moong dal together.
STEP 3
Heat oil, add cumin seeds, onion, sauté till soft.
STEP 4
Add tomato, turmeric, vegetables, cook 2–3 mins.
STEP 5
Add millets, dal, soya chunks, salt, water.
STEP 6
Pressure cook for 2–3 whistles.
STEP 7
Mix well and serve warm.
